Personally I find the harsh, cold emptiness of modern interiors as intriguing as dental surgery. Where is the evidence of those who live in these cold bunkers ? Where are memories of their travels? Or the precious family pieces passed from generation to generation? My most favorite interiors are those which are created over time; spaces which feel like personal museums steeped in the family's most favorite art, fabrics and rugs whose colors have mellowed over afternoons of sunshine streaming through windows, and scents from old books, beeswax on wood floors, oil paintings and Chanel 5. LAFCO's, FEU DE BOIS candle is all this melted down, layered, combined and aged over time to the perfect olfactory patina.

I recently discovered Lafco candles and instantly loved the Feu de Bois scent. I purchased the 30 oz three wick candle and have been disappointed. I followed the burn instruction exactly, didn’t clip the wick on the first burn, then clip to 1/4” after. I always burn for the full four hours and it never melts all the way to the edge of the candle. To avoid tunneling, I have to push the unmelted wax from the edge. THIS SHOULD BE A FOUR WICK CANDLE! A candle should just do what it’s supposed to do and not require maintenance every time it’s burned, especially at this price point! The throw is also very subtle, barely filling our living space after four hours of burn.

We absolutely love the Feu de Bois 3-wick candle. This is the second time we have purchased this candle for our lake home. The scent is the perfect blend of woodsy and masculine. We follow the burning instructions to a tee and the candle will last for the entire estimated burn time they state. We prefer the 3-wick candle to get the maximum amount of fragrance in the air, however I am confident any size of this scent you will love. The aroma is so unique and when I smell it brings me back to my happy place, the lake house! I highly recommend this candle, it is an investment but you truly get your monies worth. The beautiful glass vessel that the candle comes in looks amazing out on the counter too. You won’t go wrong with this purchase. I have also purchased the reed diffuser for my bathroom as well because I love the scent so much.

The aroma is phenomenal … it’s the perfect size. I don’t know what they mean by touch, but I plan on repurposing the glass when it’s done. I love the glass. It’s beautiful. But the smell is absolutely phenomenal, so much so, that I ended up buying the oil diffuser in this scent and also the bar of soap with the same aromatic smell 💕 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! It truly is a perfect gift for family and friends, for entering the fall season
