Unfortunately, could not wait to finish this book. The first few pages & last like 10 pages are good. But the rest of the book is basically just crime stats against women, politics, & Virgina Woolf. I was craving something uplifting, inspiring, & feminist forward. But the entire time I was reading this book, it felt like a constant run on sentence about other people's writing, SA statistics, & political events. Pass for me. Glad I actually thrifted this & didn't buy it at full price.

After Solnit wrote an article about how one of her own works was explained to her from a male, (who continued explaining her own book to her after being told she wrote it) the word mansplaining was coined from women everywhere who had experienced the same situation. This book came from the article, and is well worth the read. Solnit speaks on themes of gender and power in a refreshing way and I would recommend this as an essential read for all to continue furthering the conversation on feminism.

For this book, some parts pixelated ang font and fonts are small but readable naman. Paper is too thin but hey, it's affordable lol it will do. Thanks seller
