June 28, 2023I bought a 10.5 Men's Wide direct from ONs website. Arrived fairly quick, and were extremely uncomfortable. Processed an exchange for the next half size up, changed my mind and called to have it refunded. They said they were going to, but ended up sending a size 11 Wide. I'm glad I didn't send it back, because it's my favorite shoe. I don't run much mostly just walking.
I usually use New Balance, but have also tried out plenty of other shoes... I'm limited being a wide foot, but the quality and comfort on these far surpasses Asics, Nike etc...
Only CON is the price, Is it worth $150? No, for that price they should be made in the USA.
Is it a nice, well designed shoe? Absolutely!
ON, if you're reading these; Make a 4E, make more styles and colors for wide feet people, improve your customer service a bit (I don't think the BOT is ready, and your call agents could use a bit better training and equipment, I found my call to be a little hard to hear/understand).
Shoes are right ON, with an important exception

July 29, 2023I have purchased four On Cloud 5 shoes and they are wonderful on my daily five-mile walks on the boardwalk in Huntington Beach. Love the comfort, love the style, love the weight.
Problem is, each lasted three to five months before the mesh material shredded and my small toes stuck out in the wind. Granted, I walk 100 miles a month, so we're talking 300 to 500 miles, but it's usually the bottom of the shoe that should wear out.
I gave up on the Cloud 5 and went with the Cloud Go because it seemed to have a heavier mesh. It's been two weeks and there is a separation between the mesh and the rubber-like material in the toes. Two weeks! And I have no option - even as a Road Runner member - because I got the shoes as exchange for just-less-than-three-month-old Cloud 5 shoes.
Heavy But Great Shod

March 23, 2023I’m far from an avid runner but getting back into it. Past shoes I used for running were Nike, Brooks, and recently Hoka. The Brooks were like concrete blocks on my feet, Nike never fit my foot right and my Hoka were for trail running. After reading about the stability on these shoes I couldn’t pass them up. I have about 16 miles on them so far and I can tell a huge difference from my Nike/Brooks. They roll nice from heel to toe, have great stability, not super soft on the sole so good feedback, and the upper is nice and toasty yet breathable. Only downside is they are heavy but definitely not the heaviest shoe out there. If you are starting back up in running or a beginner I would recommend this shoe.
Nice surprise by On Cloud

March 8, 2023I think with this pair they have nailed a perfect trainer for quick runs and hitting the gym for treadmills.
I like the balanced cushion and the shoe structure providing the needing support. Not over squishy that your heel keeps sinking while standing and make it unbearable to wear other than just running.
It’s try to size. I am 9 in most dress shoes and that is the case here. Does not run to narrow from the toe box leaving enough room for thick socks.
I hope they hold up well.
