As a child, Charles Gruber was too shy to ask questions in class. He was a troubled child who tried to understand his problems by writing them down, a practice he continued his entire life. He said this was his way of understanding and making light of his problems. Finding humor in the situations he found himself in helped immeasurably over the years with marriage, work, and life in general. Charles lives in Newport, Minnesota. He is currently working as a purchaser for a marine crane company. He said this was his first cubicle job-yet another life change that took some getting used to. And yes he really does love a woman with big wits. He said that he has always been attracted to strong, smart women. When asked if he was intimidated by his smart wife Charles replied, "not at all, you see, I have an abnormally large dictionary."
