I fell in love with the salt and stone deodorant, it feels gentle on the skin and glides on easily. The scent is Santal & Vetiver and it smells so nice, I definitely smell the santal in it, woods and some amber. Overall it is a warm woody earthy scent but it’s not overpowering, it’s very balanced and light but you can definitely still smell it on once the deodorant is applied. The deodorant itself is a solid balm that is hydrating and soothing on the skin. It contains hyaluronic acid for hydration as well as seaweed extract and spirulina for soothing the skin. Hydration is so important for the underarm area to help keep it light. Irritation usually darkens the skin, causes hyperpigmentation and may cause bumps or texture in that area. This deodorant definitely helps prevent all those problems. It also contains probiotics to balance the skin’s healthy bacteria and help with any skin odors. Despite it having such a beautiful scent, it is free of alcohol which is definitely a plus, and that way it won’t irritate the skin or cause dryness. Packaging is beautiful and definitely feels luxurious, modern and minimal. I highly recommend this deodorant, it’s a very reliable and clean option. I love natural scents, though they often disappoint me. This company does what no other deodorant company is doing: natural deodorants, that actually work, no irritation (even with the original formulas) and they've mastered scents. Salt & Stone is truly a luxury brand.

The Bergamont & Hinoki is divine. Think of coastal notes mixed with trees, and a hint of citrus. This scent is truly unisex, and I feel it perfectly encapsulates where I live: foggy coastal trails in Muir Woods and sun-ripened California citrus. I've tried all the scents, and this one is tied with first place, along side the Neroli & Basil (she's more feminine leaning and I adore her to pieces). The Black Rose & Oud is probably the sexist scent I've ever encountered (though it's more masculine leaning). The Santal & Vetiver wasn't for me, even though I'm a woodsy scent aficionado through and through (I found it a bit too sweet for my liking).

Salt & Stone please (please!) make the body mist of the Neroli & Basil. Also, I would love for you to partner with Prose haircare–they made a sandalwood, citrus, tea leaf scent called Palma that was out of this world. It was a limited scent, though I hope it makes a come back because it needs to be made into a deodorant and body mist by your team :)

I have tried so, SO many different brands of natural deodorant, and Salt & Stone is by far the best. First and foremost: it's incredibly effective as a deodorant. I tend to sweat a little more than your average person while not doing much, and this keeps me dry and comfortable all day long. It applies easily and smoothly; not too thick and pretty effortless. It also hasn't left any strange discoloration on my clothing.

Second, and almost as impressive, is how just how ridiculously good this deodorant smells. For reference, I've been using the Neroli and Basil scent. I checked them out because of instagram ads (I'm a sucker for their aesthetic), and then I read the scent profiles; and wow, did they nail it. I never thought I'd be "excited" to put on deodorant since it's just an standard part of my morning routine, but now it's become my favorite part just because of how pleasant the smell is. It sits in this great cross section of being soothing while also being elevated. Would honestly love to have this scent as a cologne or body mist as well (wink wink Salt & Stone).

Do yourself a favor; if you're interested in natural deodorants and have, like me, tried a few (or too many) and have lost faith, give Salt & Stone a try. Here's to hoping it makes you as happy as I am!
