My husband and I are deeply enjoying the challenge of this book that is answering questions that in this day and age few offer profound answers to as this book does. Would recommend to every level of believer.

Great book which is why I ordered it. The book had wear that I didn't expect. There was writing and underlining throughout the book. My plan was to give the book as a gift. Because it is so used I do not feel comfortable gifting it.

Outstanding book. Now I see why it so influenced C.S.Lewis and other great thinkers and scholars of that age. And because the sciences have not really done much since that book was written to "prove" Darwin evolutionism (beyond just a sloppy theory to explain the universe without a designer), it is relevant today, and I love his gentle wit and satire. My only criticism would be that, whereas his apologetics concerning Christianity over paganism are absolutely brilliant, his Catholic bias shows quite clearly and glosses over Catholic excesses in theology and practice over the centuries (i.e., some groups that he saw as threatening Christianity's existence but were in his view fortunately exterminated were actually early attempts at reforming the corruption of the Church). Overall, a fantastic read.

G.K. Chesterton is a great writer and a unique Catholic convert. This shows in this book.
