I want to preface this review by saying that I have dark skin and this spf is not suitable for those with darker complexions because it leaves a white cast.

This spf is great for those with acne prone skin and it’s also fungal acne safe which is why I bought it. However it leaves a white cast on my face everytime I wear it and it does not blend into the skin seamlessly at all.

At first I cleansed my skin, moisturised and put the spf on but it pilled and flaked up so badly that I had to wash it off.

Because I wanted this spf to work so badly I stopped moisturising and put the spf directly onto my skin after cleansing. This stopped the pilling but I still had the white cast.

I’m very disappointed because considering the price of this spf, it lacks heavily. I should be able to carry out my skincare routine normally without having to worry about how it would affect my spf’s performance on my skin.

I have tried everything to make this spf work especially because it’s the only spf that I’ve used so far that hasn’t left me oily and it hasn’t broken me out. My pores have appeared smaller and my skin has been thriving. I have given it some time but it is just heavily flawed.

I tried this product after falling in love with the formula of the tinted version, but the tiny was too strong. I'm 34, fair skin, sensitive/combo skin. The Clear version worked perfectly for me. This sunscreen glued on to my skin, no white cast, and left a little bit of a glow. I have not experienced any issues with makeup application. The only thing I have debated is if it slightly dried my skin it but I have been switching alit of products recently so it could just be that

I would recommend you to try this! I know it can be more expensive to done and I would try to see if you like it because if you do you will not waste money trying new formulas and you will actually want to use it. Also, if you use it you will likely need less products or treatments as you age as you will have protected yourself against damage!

I have been using EltaMD UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 Facial Sunscreen for at least 10 years. The best thing about it is that I can't even tell I have it on and that makes me want to ALWAYS use it. They say the best sunscreen is the one that you will use, so for me, it is the best ever sunscreen. It doesn't run into your eyes when exercising as some sunscreens that I used to use did. I first learned about it from my dermatologist. That dermatologist retired and I now have a different dermatologist and the same EltaMD product is also recommended by my current dermatologist. She actually sells it in her office although I buy it from LovelySkin because of the discounts and because of the convenience. I can't recommend it more!

My doctor gave me some samples of the EltaMD UV daily tinted broad spectrum SPF 40. They were very large samples that lasted me for a long time. So I can give an accurate review. I love this sunscreen very much because it blurs out your imperfections while absorbing protective sunscreen. The tint gave a gorgeous glow. My skin looked radiant. Best tinted sunscreen that works well with makeup. It does not peel. The scent of the sunscreen fades, but it's not an unpleasant scent. My doctor actually sales this sunscreen at his office. That alone says a lot to me. Especially if your own doctor is promoting this sunscreen. I will purchase the full bottle.
