Redang Island is a small island group in the South Chinese Sea, on the east side of Peninsular Malaysia. Redang lies within protected marine waters, also known as Terengganu Marine Park. It lies about 45 kilometers from the coast of the city of Kuala Terengganu.
The only access to Redang Island is by speedboat or ferry. We provide daily speedboat and ferry transfers from Merang Waterfront Jetty or Shahbandar Jetty to Redang Island.
ARRIVING IN REDANG ISLAND BY CAR
For those self-driving set your GPS to Merang Waterfront Jetty or Shah Bandar jetty. Parking space also available at Jetty. As minimum parking charge RM10 - RM15 per night per car. The parking space are limited.
ARRIVING IN REDANG ISLAND BY FLIGHT
If you are taking a flight, you may buy the ticket to Kuala Terengganu (Sultan Mahmud Airport). Kindly take note that the travel time may vary depending on the designated aircraft carriers that have been taken to fly to Kuala Terengganu Airport.

ARRIVING IN REDANG ISLAND BY EXPRESS BUS
All bus is operating at Kuala Terengganu Bus Terminal. Located at Jalan Syed Hussein ,center of Kuala Terengganu City.Among the bus company is Sani Ekpress , Adik Beradik Ekpress ,S.P Bumi Ekpress , Transnasional Ekpress ,Mutiara Bus Ekpress ,Mara Liner Ekpress ,Cepat Ekpress and Sutera Ekpress.
Kuala Terengganu Bus Terminal or the local name Hentian Bas Majlis Bandaraya Kuala Terengganu (MBKT), is the main bus terminal for local buses (“bas bandar”) and long-distance express buses in Kuala Terengganu. The bus terminal is quite big to accommodate the number of buses going in and out of the terminal daily. It is an open-air styled bus terminal without any air conditioner, but the roof is sufficient to shelter the passengers from the sun and rain.
ARRIVING IN REDANG ISLAND BY BOAT
Merang Waterfront Jetty is the closest jetty to Redang Island. Only 30KM from Merang Waterfront Jetty and approximately takes about 45 minutes - 1 hour only.
Important Note: All guest will have to pay jetty fees of RM 5.00 per person imposed by Malaysian government at Merang Waterfront Jetty upon arrival.
ARRIVING IN REDANG ISLAND BY FERRY
Located at Kuala Terengganu Town just 15 minute walk from Kuala Terengganu Bus Terminal. From Shahbandar Jetty to Redang Island will take 1 hour 40 minute. The ferry are depart daily. From Shahbandar Jetty to Redang Island will take 1 hour 40 minute.
Important Note: If the weather or sea conditions are bad, the ferry will depart/arrive at Kampung Baru Pulau Redang Jetty. Therefore, guests have to take a water taxi at their own expense of RM 20.00 one way per person.
MARINE PARK CONSERVATION FEE
Department of Marine Park Malaysia will enforce the new charges Tax and Activities for admission to the Marine Park Malaysia with effect from 01 October 2016. Cash Payment to be made directly to the Marine Park Centre at Merang Waterfront Jetty or Shah Bandar Jetty.
