Istana Tyersall: The sister house of Istana Woodneuk that got burned down by faulty electrical wiring just after the the compulsory acquisition made by the Singapore Government. The first Istana Tyersall got burned down but by an reason unknown. Istana Tyersall had a red roof and Istana Woodneuk had a blue roof to differentiate them. Istana Tyersall was also much bigger partly because it was for the Sultan's first wife and a commanding position on the same land; on top of the hill.
