Gwyneth Paltrow certainly wasn’t the only A-lister to step out in honor of Brunello Cucinelli’s “Una Serata Italiana” (“An Italian Evening”) on Thursday night, but her outfit was definitely one of the most notable.

Calling on one of the fashion house’s signature silhouettes for the occasion, Paltrow arrived at Los Angeles’s Chateau Marmont in a structured gray blazer layered over a plain white button-up blouse. While the top half of the actress’s outfit screamed business casual, she added a bit of prep to her look by pairing the formal jacket with a pair of white trouser shorts and a simple brown belt. Nothing but a pair of stunning bronze heels accessorized Gwyneth’s outfit, and she wore her signature blonde hair down in soft waves with a middle part.

Paltrow kept her glam to a minimum during the event, opting for a bright complexion, subtle eyeliner, and a deep pink lip.

The Goop founder looked amazing on Thursday night, and her outing came just days after she opened up about aging when talking to Bustle for its October cover story.

“I think that’s also why turning 40 was so jarring, because that’s when I started to notice crow’s feet and this and that,” she said when talking about how her relationship with skincare and skin has changed over time. “It’s so interesting to me how until you have that, you somehow think you’re never going to have that. You think you’re going to be impervious, and it seems like this whole thing that other people are needlessly worrying about.”

She added, “Then you’re like, ‘Oh, my God, my face.’ So it’s double-pronged for me. I am constantly in an exercise of embracing where I am and also embracing this painful thing of not being young and beautiful. Sometimes I almost think of a person that I’m hugging, like, ‘This is supposed to happen. This is OK.’”
