Many people believe that God descended on the Earth and blessed devotees with his presence. According to many mythological stories, it is believed to be the day when Lord Shiva declared that his son would be superior to all Gods, except Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, Goddess Lakshmi, and Goddess Parvati.

Vinayaki Chaturthi

Vinayaki Chaturthi is another day in a month followed by the Hindu calendar. This day follows the new moon, and the tithi has to be Chaturthi. They offer him his favourite things and seek his blessings for a loving, prosperous, and successful life.

This day is also observed as Ganesha Chaturthi, and devotees celebrate it as the birth of Lord Ganesha. The celebration of this day starts 11 days before Ganesh Chaturthi. It is usually celebrated in August or September.
