Terminator Is Bringing Back Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor

It's been 25 years, and the franchise is getting the best version of the band back together.

Rejoice, you nerds: Linda Hamilton is reprising her role as Sarah Connor for Terminator 3 after a twenty five-year absence.

Hamilton, the original Connor, starred in James Cameron's The Terminator in 1984 and its sequel which everyone lost their shit over, Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Cameron is also returning to the franchise, taking a break from making one of his sixteen thousand Avatar sequels.

Terminator 3 is reuniting Hamilton with another original franchise star, Arnold Schwarzenegger. It's probably a good move; soft reboots of The Terminator have been going on forever, with very little success (even though Terminator Salvation was quite fine, fight me). With all three major players back from the series's greatest installment, there's finally a reason to be cautiously optimistic for this one.

Terminator 3 will probably come out some time in 2019. It's apparently being treated as a straight sequel to Terminator 2, rendering the past 25 years of these dumb fun robot movies completely pointless. But we've known that for a while.
