חבש כובע ישועה בראשו!

The Holy Kolpik of Tzaddik Yessod Olam Moron the Holy Rabbi the ‘Pachad Yitzchak’ of Boyan, which he gave to his beloved renowned Hassid Rabbi Mordechai Orenstein.

The Kolpik – a fur hat for the head of the Tzaddik worn by him only on special occasions, such as Rosh Chodesh, a time of atonement  or on the days of Hanukkah when lighting the candles, on the days of Selichos, on Lag BaOmer and on Hillula days.

The Hassid Rabbi Mordechai asked that the holy Kolpik be buried with him after his passing; however the members of the Chevra Kaddisha were strongly opposed and after a negotiation which was even presented  to Tzaddikim to decide upon, it was decided that only the tall Kippah will be buried with the late R. Mordechai.

The Kolpik itself, the fur cover and lining were resewn to another Kippah so it maintained its beautiful holiness and splendor.

The Holy Rabbi the ‘Pachad Yitzchak’ father of the Boyan dynasty [1850-1917] the son of the Holy Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura the grandson of Ateret Tiferet Yisrael the Holy Rabbi of Ruzhin. Was born on Rosh Hashana and therefore named ‘Yitzchak’ and also known as the ‘Pachad Yitzchak’.  All those who spent time with him, felt Morah Shamayim and received Teshuva Ila’ah. A lofty and terrible Tzaddik. A member of a royal family who inherited the presidency of Kollel Vohlin. His succeeding sons the Holy Rabbi of Boyan Chernowitz, Boyan leipzig, Boyan Lemberg, Boyan New York.

Standard size. Placed in a special case for protection. With confirmation of the source of the Kolpik and its history. Very good condition.
