Hey everyone! It’s Vintage/DC’d/Hard to Find (HTF) week on the MUA Nail Care Board so I’m starting with an oldie and a HTF. I love Vintage polishes and am always on the lookout for them.
Revlon Drama is a shimmery dark eggplant. I’m not sure how old this polish is, I bought it in a huge mixed lot on Ebay last year. Formula was really good. I used 2 coats plus topcoat for the photos.
OPI Mad As A Hatter is from the Winter 2010 Alice In Wonderland Collection. This is a hard to find polish and if you do happen to find it, it will most likely be expensive. This one also has fakes out there. I don’t like bringing up fake polishes because it hardly ever happens, but I did buy a fake Mad As A Hatter (MaaH) off Ebay and didn’t even realize it until it was too late to do anything about it. I learned about MaaH fakes from the MUA Nail Care Board but I was beyond the 6 months to dispute it. Luckily I didn’t pay a whole lot for it, but still a good chunk of money. This one I’m using today however is the real deal.
Anyway, OPI Mad As A Hatter is a clear base jam packed with micro multi glitter. This is a full coverage glitter and 2 coats is opaque. I used 2 coats of topcoat to completely smooth it out. The brush on my bottle is horrendous, but I managed to not make too much of a mess. It is so sparkly and attention grabbing in real life.
Revlon Drama, 2 coats plus topcoat & OPI Mad As A Hatter, 2 coats plus 2 coats of topcoat.
