A sight only a handful of people have gotten to see first hand and one Pennsylvania man can now put himself in that lucky few.

Andy Mast of Jefferson County, PA spotted a rare pink grasshopper in his yard right before cutting his grass.

Luckily, Mast says his 9-year-old daughter stopped him from mowing so that she could show him the amazing find.

Mast says he snapped a photo and let the insect trot back into the wild.

In total, only about three pink grasshoppers have been spotted in the US, making this the fourth.

The states where a pink grasshopper have been spotted are Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, and now Pennsylvania.

Pink grasshoppers are usually native to Europe and Asia so to see one in the States is an extremely rare chance of only 1%.
