Redang island is located about 25 kilometers from Merang, Setiu, Terengganu. Redang island is the largest of all Terengganu’s islands. From the very first glance, Redang island will enchant visitors with its compelling beauty. Its incredibly azure water fringed by white powder sand, against the backdrop of verdant jungle-clad hills make picture-perfect views.

The island boasts two beautiful beaches, the Long Beach or locally known as Pasir Panjang Redang, situated on the east coast.

A myriad of surprises await beneath the bewitchingly blue sea. The waters teem with a wealth or marine life and corals, and the good

visibility makes it ideal for snorkeling and diving. At the Marine Park Center, friendly wrasses, sergeant majors and breams swarm around snorkelers. Divers can look forward to thrilling encounters with black-tip shark, whale shark. Rare giant clams and hawksbill turtles have also been sighted here.

The best time to visit Redang Island is from May to September when the weather is great and the diving conditions are ideal. If you are prefer to enjoy the beach not crowded, you may plan to visit on March April and October. However, please note that the island is closed from November to February due to heavy rains and strong waves during Monsoon season.
