MERSING

Before embarking to pulau rawa, I would suggest to spend a night in mersing town and it won't be so hurry the next day for catching up a ferry schedule.
Mersing is a very small town yet happening village enriched with a lot of good foods and local specialties. With mixture of races, you will find this small town become very multiracial diversification. When you take a stroll of this town, you would start discovering a lot of authentic foods such as kopitiam alike, and some delicacy like mamak.
Before proceeding to jetty the next day morning, try to warm up your stomach with some local breakfast like roti canal, teh tarik, toast, classic local coffee, half boil eggs, nasi lemak and many more.
Personally, I like the feeling being here at the small town and having this kind of breakfast which the taste is always beyond satisfaction.

1. Breakfast / Lunch @ kopitiam next to Mersing Hotel

Nasi lemak packed in small triangle packet is so sumptuous. They cooked the rice with green peas.

Specialty : classic beverages like coffee, and other custom made drinks. Can try out their home cook dishes too. The taste is beyond your expectation.

2. Mersing street art @ Laman Samudra

Mersing is an old town and a lot bricks and walls have been faded with its colours. Hence, wall painting become very popular and excessive in this place. You can find a lot of outstanding street art surrounding the town, and there is a back lane street called Laman Samudra where it gathers most of the street arts and impressive paintings. I really love this place. If you're here? Just pay a visit and snap some memorable pictures.

3. Mersing fishing village jetty

Taking a walk along the fishing village jetty is one of beat thing to do at evening. You would be able to see a very warm scenery when all the fisherman returning to their sweet home after a tiring day with full sleigh of harvest. Besides, you will be able to watch a beautiful sun set along the jetty. It'll be a very wonderful closing of the day.

4. Shop at the morning wet market.

Before you go on board to your ferry, do wake up early and have a quick shop at this morning market (pasar pagi) mersing. It's located just right beside the taxi stand.
You will find a lot of local pastries in here.

5. Best fried chicken in mersing town (Hong Tat)

You would probably notice that there is a very classic fried chicken fast food restaurant in the middle of the shop lot located in mersing town. Do check this out. I'm sure you would love this fried chicken. This reminds me some of my childhood local fast food restuarant  when all other dominant fast food like kfc & McDonald's restuarant were still not well known among the neighbourhood.

 PULAU RAWA

6. 3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS PULAU AREA ISLAND RETREAT BEGINS.

PULAU Rawa jetty is separated from the tioman island jetty. If you're going to pulau rawa, pls enter to pulau rawa jetty gate. It's right before the tioman jetty. Speed boat took 40 mins to bring us to the secluded island pulau rawa. The journey was bumpy & jumpy. Our boat drove in to the waving ocean and soon we'd been surrounded by borderless ocean. The jetty was faded in the our sight.  The sea water from brownish muddy and turned to Crystal clear surface. We know we are approaching Pulau Rawa.

We've finally arrived this earthy paradise. This is the most beautiful island that I've even been. The colour of the ocean layered from dark blue outer layer, then dark green and last apple green near to shore. It's so beautiful and you just can't wait for any longer to change your swim suit and dive into the underneath universe.

You can see many beautiful fishes even at the shallow area. They're toms of exotic species of fishes too.

7. Giant water slide.

There is a giant water slide set up on the ocean by the resort. It looks thrilling yet very fun. When you climb the stairs to the peak before you slide down, the height watched from top is chilling enough to turn you down as this looks very unusual whereby we usually come across this kind of slides only in man made water park. Not the sea.  But if you're not into this giant slide, there is a another smaller slide as shown above ( blue colour) for you as first trial.
Pls take note that the water slides close at 3pm every day as this is the low tide period. The edge of the slides will not hit water level during low tide.

GIANT SLIDE AND SMALL SLIDE
OPERATING HOURS : 9AM TO 3PM.

8. Forest trail / cliff board walk

When you're done with swimming, you may also opt for a forest trail / board walk within the compound of the resort. Take a fresh air while hiking up to the forest path with breathtaking ocean view just set right beside you.
You may also take a stroll at the board walk. It's built along the cliff separated by the deep blue ocean.
The scenery is astonishing when the sea breeze gently tap on your face and the intoxicating splashes sound when the waves hit on the rocky stone. It's indeed naturally soothing your soul !

I would say the buffet meal is just too perfect!
