The role: Manager, JAPAC Sales Strategy and Operations
As a Manager, you will provide leadership, business judgement, analytic guidance, and business experience to support strategic and tactical initiatives in Asia. You are a results-driven individual with a highly successful career in the industry to make the step to strategy consulting. You have achieved an exceptional career track in consulting, corporate strategy, or corporate development within a multinational consulting firm or from the world of investment banking.
Apart from an advanced academic foundation with strong analytics, you possess the energy and the teamwork skills to be a successful project leader, for sales strategy and operations across JAPAC. You should be able to demonstrate outstanding critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and conceptual skills, while excelling at problem solving in a fast-paced environment. You will bring relevant expertise, experience, an independent perspective in addition to a rigorously analytical approach and deliver innovative solutions that will help Google to achieve challenging goals.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the company's leadership to define, launch, and drive critical strategic, organizational, and operational initiatives.
- Assume primary responsibility for structuring and executing major operational and strategic initiatives: developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses, and developing final recommendations.
- Educate the management and help them understand the effectiveness of every dollar spent on pipeline generation, pipeline maturation, and branding/awareness activities to execute these to a high standard.
- Manage the development of strategies and recommendations and work cross-functionally with Product Marketing and Sales to develop pipeline generation goals by region, market segment, and product.
- Identify critical pieces of analysis and research to drive new insights and work with less experienced team members and other teams within Google to execute these to a high standard and communicate findings from intitiatives to senior management and to the broader organization.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record. Technical degree a plus. Graduate degree from business school strongly preferred.
- Results-driven with a highly successful and relevant career in blue-chip management consulting or similar environment to make the step to strategy consulting.
- Excellent quantitative analysis and modeling skills as well as an ability to effectively present and communicate actionable insights and recommendations.
- Management consulting and strong "analytics to implementation" experience is highly desirable.
- Distinctive problem solving and anlysis skills and impeccable business judgement.
- Strong creativity and innovation in discovering actionable results and strategies and ability to succeed in a collaborative, start-up paced environment.
