The role: Google Apps Deployment Project Manager, APAC

As a Google Apps Deployment Manager for Asia Pacific, you will work with enterprise customers and third party consultants to implement Google Apps and related enterprise products. Focusing on the implementation of the Google Apps offering, you will ensure that all deployment projects are executed in an orderly manner. You will create clear written documents that define solution scope, solution design, task-level deliverables, milestones, and management processes that establish task-level accountabilities and issues resolution procedures. This position includes 50-75% travel (averaging 2-3 days per trip).

Responsibilities:

• Interface/team with third party consultants, product managers, and engineers to solve business/functional deployment problems.
• Proactively transfer functional knowledge to customers to ensure smooth and orderly transition of account from deployment phase to ongoing production.
• Drive the development of deployment project scope and the companion solution architecture and design. Work with sales team and third party consultants, if appropriate, to present and lock down the deployment project plan with the customer during the sales cycle.
• Track and escalate all deployment issues, functional and technical, to assure timely resolution by appropriate internal and external resources.
• Develop and implement management processes, metrics, and reporting instruments to ensure project success and consistent communication and status reporting across all stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance preferred.
• At least 5 years of project management experience in the technology industry, either in corporate IT, professional services, or product development.
• Detailed functional and technical product knowledge.
• Proven ability to drive large, complex IT projects and manage project scope and budget.
• Ability to engage at all levels of the organisation, both internally and externally.
