Judging process
Age group finalists
A panel of distinguished judges will choose the 50 age group finalists, 10 from each age group.
Prizes:
- Doodle 4 Google certificate
- Framed copy of doodle
- T-shirt with the doodle design
- Invitation to attend the awards ceremony where the national winner will be announced
- Doodles to be displayed on the Doodle 4 Google website for public vote
- Doodle 4 Google goodie bag
Age group winners
The public will vote online for their favourite doodle from each age group to select the five age group winners.
Prizes:
- A laptop for the winner
- An exclusive Google workshop for the school’s teachers on how to get the most out of Google Apps (email, calendar, docs & spreadsheets)
- Doodle 4 Google trophy for the school
National winner
Dennis Hwang, Google’s Webmaster, will pick the overall national winner out of the five age group winners.
Prizes:
- The winning doodle will be hosted on the Google Singapore homepage at www.google.com.sg for 24 hours
- All expenses paid trip for three (the national winner, one parent and a school representative) to Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California, USA
School award
The school with the highest student participation rate will win a special Google workshop for the school’s teachers on how to get the most out of Google Apps.
Judging criteria
A judging panel will evaluate the entries based on the following criteria:
- Artistic merit based on age, drawing skills and use of colour
- Creativity based on representation of the theme 'Our Singapore' and use of the Google logo
- Communication based on expression of the doodle's relevance to the theme in the supporting statement
