Hi there! We've updated our Jobs site and added some new features to improve your experience. Show me.

This position is based in Mountain View, CA or New York, NY.

The area: Enterprise

We've helped over 30 million employees at three million organizations around the world to "go Google." As masters of cloud computing, the Enterprise team helps small and large businesses, educational institutions and government agencies discover the wonders of "the cloud" and work smarter through Google Apps. Our technical and sales teams design and implement solutions for these organizations with custom features, security and support -- all with Google's philosophy of innovation and ease of use in mind.

The role: Product Management Leader, Internal Frameworks

At Google, we put our users first. From innovative software products like Gmail, YouTube, Chrome, StreetView to pioneering mobile devices like the Android, we build products that organize the world's information and make it universally accessible to our users. Google products are the lifeblood of who we are. The Product Management team works closely with our engineers to guide products from conception to launch, and with our business partners to generate profitable revenue streams. As part of the Product Management team, you bridge technical and business worlds as you design technologies with creative and prolific engineers and then zoom out to lead matrix teams such as Sales, Marketing and Finance, to name a few. You have a bias for action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development at Google speed. As a Product Manager, you can be part of shaping Google's next game-changer.

Through your leadership, you'll leverage your technical expertise to identify setbacks and roadblocks within a project and generate solutions for resolving them quickly, build and manage a product team to recruit the best-suited engineers, and evaluate feedback from support teams to identify product errors and gaps. You'll also work closely with senior Googlers in support of your product.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify market opportunities and define product vision and strategy.
  • Develop and launch new products and enhance existing cloud and enterprise products.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers.
  • Engage closely with the engineering team to help determine the best technical implementation methods as well as a reasonable execution schedule.
  • Establish partnerships as necessary to drive the growth of Google's products.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field. In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant experience.
  • 10 years product management or product design experience, including experience managing a team and developing internet or media products and technologies.
  • Product management experience with a track record of creating innovative and award winning Internet products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building and managing medium sized teams.
  • Penchant for Enterprise IT and Cloud experience.
  • Strong track record as an industry thought leader who possesses the ability to lead industry organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather user requirements and convert them into a winning product vision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to evangelize Google's products internally and externally.
