Also known as the Curators' Database, this is a cooperative effort among nineteen oceanographic institutions and governmental agencies to provide information on the contents of their collections of seafloor samples to researchers. More than 100,000 samples can be searched on-line by specifying any combination of institution, cruise, ship, collection date, water depth, sampling technique, or geographic location. |

A computerized bibliography and geochemical database on offshore marine mineral deposits. Primarily contains chemical analyses of present-day marine deposits of ferromanganese nodules and crusts (more than 140,000 analyses), but also includes some data for heavy minerals (approximately 1400 analyses). Analyses can be downloaded from the website or ordered on a CD. |

Includes 37,300 major element chemical analyses divided into 307 major groups representing geographic areas or petrologic provinces.
